The Left Side Rows
These are the terms used to narrow and define the actual results in a corresponding relationship with the key
concepts. These terms may also be viewed in a three way set of relationships simply by clicking on the term in the left column. Thus, the user may select a match to get all of the
documents within that cross-term search. This is extremely powerful because cross matching analysis can be performed on two and three terms at once to refine the information being
searched to identify a small number of key matches. This concept is explained in further detail in the next section Second Level Analysis.
The Color Coded Blocks Within the Chart
This is the strength of having the visualization chart. Each block is color coded to match each
individual key concept across the top. Also the size of the block determines how many times a relationship occurred between two terms, the larger the block, the higher the frequency of
hits.
This allows us to instantly see where there is a lot of information between two topics and also just as important where there is a lack of information between two topics. When the cursor is placed over an individual block, we are told exactly how many hits occurred between the two terms. By clicking on the blocks, we are able to narrow or search to each individual section containing the relationship we are specifically looking for.
