We Take Our Corporate Responsibility Seriously
Year-over-year, we strive to make a positive impact in society through charitable donations that make an immediate impact in our local community, on the national stage, and in regions around the world affected by armed conflict, food and medical shortages, or natural disasters. Not only do we look for non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with TextOre’s values, we also look closely at Program Expense Ratios to ensure these charities are maximizing the dollars on the programs and services to those most in need. We take our corporate responsibility seriously in the hope that others will follow.
In the past two years, TextOre as a company and individual staff members doubled philanthropic donations with the goal of doubling donations every year thereafter. Some of the local non-profits we’ve partnered with include Shelter House, Everyone Home DC, and Aspire! Afterschool Learning.
Additionally, we support national non-profits like the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust and the American Red Cross, helping our nation’s disabled veterans and those in critical need of medical supplies. We also support international non-profits that address immediate global crises, like the war in Ukraine, via contributions to Doctors without Borders, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Shelter House
Shelter House is a non-profit that operates six shelter facilities and multiple housing programs. With a mission to prevent and end homelessness and domestic violence, Shelter House provides crisis intervention, safe housing, and supportive services to victims of domestic violence and homeless families in Fairfax County and Loudoun County, Virginia.

Everyone Home DC
Everyone Home DC supports individuals and families who are at risk or currently experiencing homelessness. Taking a holistic approach, Everyone Home DC provides a range of support services and housing options. In 2020, we made charitable donations to Everyone Home DC in support of their mission to provide access to safe, affordable, and comfortable housing so that everyone as a community can thrive.

Aspire! Afterschool Learning
Aspire! Afterschool Learning provides afterschool and summer enrichment activities and learning programs for children in south Arlington, Virginia. The program connects communities, schools, and families. We’ve made charitable donations to Aspire! to support the partnership of families and schools, the advancement of children’s literacy and STEM skills, and learning English as a second language.

Doctors Without Borders
Providing medical aid in over 72 countries and territories, Doctors Without Borders cares for people affected by disease outbreaks, natural and human disasters, and conflict. As an independent organization, Doctors Without Borders provides medical humanitarian care to people strictly on the need for it. We chose Doctors Without Borders to donate funds to because we believe in its core principles of providing medical care on a global scale with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross utilizes its network of donors, volunteers, and partners to prevent and alleviate human suffering in times of disaster and crisis. Honoring impartiality and neutrality, the Red Cross provides assists those in need internationally and nationally without discrimination. We donate to the American Red Cross because of its commitment to national and international aid.

International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) serves people who have been impacted by war, conflict, and natural disasters. Responding within 72 hours when crisis occurs, IRC helps countries where people need support to stabilize and rebuild their lives. At TextOre, we chose to donate to IRC in support of their response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. IRC has been working with partners inside Ukraine to support evacuation efforts as well as deployed a team to Poland to assist Ukrainian refugees.

UNICEF
UNICEF is a humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting the world’s more vulnerable children. With a mission to provide every child with an equal opportunity and access to health care and immunizations, nutrition, education, safe water, emergency relief, and more, UNICEF is aiding children in over 190 countries. TextOre selected UNICEF as non-profit to donate to considering the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. As thousands of Ukrainian child (and adult) refugees seek asylum we found it more important to donate to UNICEF now than ever in support their efforts in Ukraine.
