TextOre had the privilege of virtually hosting former DEA Agents Javier Peña and Steve Murphy recently, known by many for their heroic efforts in the hunt for the world’s first narco-terrorist, Pablo Escobar, and the organization he founded: The Medellin Cartel. Javier and Steve were very gracious with their time, as they provided TextOre staff with a first-hand account of their journey to bring down Pablo Escobar, the challenges they faced in oftentimes hostile and life-threatening environments, and the innovative strategies they employed to successfully end the reign of terror of the world’s most wanted criminal (with a net worth estimated at $64B in 2021 dollars!).
For the first hour, TextOre Staff enjoyed an illuminating and information-rich briefing, followed by a solid hour of Q&A with Javier and Steve, including questions related to their investigation, the making of the hit Netflix series “Narcos”, and their current pursuits.
